Energy Analysis & Retrofits

An Energy Analysis is a scientific approach to evaluate the energy usage and potential of a home or building and its components. Our energy consultant will use a variety of measurement tools, his or her technical knowledge and professional experience to measure and analyze your current energy scenario.

The end result will be a detailed written report and associated proposal detailing specific steps that can be taken to achieve the intended goals – such as saving money and increasing comfort. (Download a typical report.) Typical retrofits include air sealing, added insulation, and HVAC equipment replacement. We provide the report in person and thoroughly discuss your options.

Rebates & Verification

Residential rebates of up to $7,500 for the retrofit have never been higher. Once you have the $100 Energy Analysis performed the report will specify your projected rebate and total job cost. Commercial customers use our blower door and duct testing services for third party verification testing for compliance with the 2012/2015 International Energy Conservation Code.

Newly adopted energy codes, in all three counties, call for building efficiency testing for new construction and major renovations. Both new HVAC systems and building envelopes are tested for leakage. We work with all contractors to make sure they can accomplish the energy standards necessary for obtaining the Use and Occupancy permit.
